From a top of the range triathlon wetsuit to a simple silicone swim cap, here at Simply Swim we have everything you need for your triathlon experience. Choose from top brands such as Orca, blueseventy, Zone 3, Speedo and Aqua Sphere to kit yourself out with open water swimwear and equipment and benefit from the fantastic training aids and wetsuit technology that will help you to swim faster and be first out of the water in your race.
Our triathlon wetsuits, range from top tier styles worn by Olympians, to more affordable entry level styles that will suit people just starting out on their triathlon journey. Flexibility and buoyancy are the 2 main functions of a triathlon wetsuit (along with keeping you warm in cold water of course!) and these will vary in degree, depending on the style you choose. You will also need a pair of goggles (polarised lenses are ideal for outdoor swimming as they automatically change with the light) and a swim hat; neoprene for warmth when you are training, or silicone for actual race day.
Once out of the water you will need to move into the second phase of the triathlon and our Triathlon Clothing department gives you a choice of all-in-one tri suits or singlets and shorts, to keep you cool and comfortable on your bike and run. Don’t forget triathlon accessories like race belts, swim socks and the fantastic Dryrobe or Robie to keep you warm and dry before and after your race, as well as giving you a mobile dressing room to get changed under.
If you want to wear a swimsuit under your wetsuit or need a swimsuit for training at the pool, then you will find something to suit you in our open water swimwear selection. From plain colours to funky prints, we have a fantastic selection and if you really can’t find something you like, just have a look in our women’s and men’s swimwear departments on www.simplyswim.com.
As a triathlon is an endurance event, you will need to put in some training before race day and our range of triathlon training aids will help you to prepare yourself for the harsh reality of swimming in open water. Build up your strength and endurance with hand paddles, fins and resistance tools and improve your body position by using kickboards and pull buoys. All that extra effort beforehand will prove to be invaluable on race day. Finally, you will need a triathlon bag to store all of your kit. Our range of tri bags are designed for the task with separate wetsuit compartments, pockets for goggles, water bottles and some even hold your cycle helmet! If you just want a swim bag to house your swimwear, towel and training aids then we have drawstring mesh bags too. We hope you enjoy browsing and buying from our triathlon store at www.simplyswim.com and that we will have gone some way to being a part of your triathlon adventure!
