Here at Simply Swim, we have footwear for all your water based activities from aqua aerobics and snorkeling, to kayaking or just sitting around the pool.
The big benefit of wearing water shoes is the protection they offer your feet from infections and injuries. Some choose to go barefoot, but it’s not always a practical option, and sometimes having the right pair of water shoes can save you from slipping or cutting your feet. To help you find the perfect pair for your needs we have put together a small guide on some of our most popular options, but for more information or to see the our range's click here Men’s, Women’s or Childrens.
Around the Pool or In It
You need a soft, comfortable, lightweight shoe for walking in wet areas around the pool that will give you a good grip to help prevent slipping. Plus you need them to have the ability for water to drain out of them to disperse water and give breathability inside the shoe.
If you prefer a full coverage shoe then the Speedo Zanpa Pool Shoes are perfect for this with great grip, water drainage holes and they are naturally anti-bacterial for anti-odour. Alternatively for men, try the BECO Surf and Swim Shoe.
For a little more freedom we recommend you go for the Adidas Duramo Slide Sandals. They're comfortable and supportive, water can freely drain from them as they are not enclosed and they're quick and easy to take on and off at the pool. We also stock them in an eye-catching blue or in pink & black for juniors.
In the Pool and on the Beach
These swim shoes need grip for wet surfaces and be able to protect your feet from stones and rocks. They need to be a fully enclosed style of swim shoe that has mesh sides for drainage and breathability and a drawstring at the heel for a secure fit.
These shoes are ideal for aqua aerobics, snorkelling or walking along the beach.
Our favourites are the BECO Aqua Fitness Shoe (which are also available in a stylish blue) for adults and the BECO Kids Neoprene Surf and Swim Shoes for the little ones (another pair also available in blue too!)
Around the Pool and up a Mountain
With these types of water shoes you’ll be able to wear these on easy trail hikes, summer hikes to waterfalls and lakes, on kayak and canoe adventures, camping, sight-seeing, you name it. They have an airy and comfortable design, hydrophobic mesh to help keep feet cool while protecting them on trails and offering plenty of grip on wet and slippery ground.
These shoes are available from our sister company Simply Hike.
