Have you taken part in any challenges before? If yes, what were they? I have trained for two half marathons and had to pull out of both at the last minute due to injury!
How fit are you? Pretty fit. I can do 25 'real' push ups if that counts?
What are you most excited about taking part in the triathlon with Simply Swim? Increasing my fitness, pushing myself that bit harder and hopefully perfecting my swimming technique- a lifelong ambition.
What challenges are you going to have to overcome by taking part? Er..swimming. When I lived in Sydney I spent a small fortune on learning to swim with all the grace of an Australian. 3 months of 'perfecting' classes and I was still the Eddie The Eagle of the pool.
What is your favourite sport? Can I count rambling? Please? I do 30 k every weekend with my dog and husband. And no, we don't carry flasks and alpine walking sticks before you ask.

What are you most excited about taking part in the triathlon with Simply Swim? I'm excited to do a sprint distance triathlon and it's great to be involved with Simply Swim as I think a lot of people underestimate just how tough the swim section of a triathlon can be.
What challenges are you going to have to overcome by taking part? Cycling is my strongest event, but my swimming and running need a bit of work – plus I'm slightly nervous about swimming in the Thames.
What is your favourite sport? I got into the fitness industry through gymnastics and that will always be my first love when it comes to sport.

Have you taken part in any challenges before? If yes, what were they? Yes, London Marathon 3 times and Beachy Head Marathon twice.
How fit are you? I’m reasonably fit. I certainly used to be a lot fitter prior to my knee operation.
What are you most excited about taking part in the triathlon with Simply Swim? Combating my fear of putting my head under water and swimming in open water. Also just competing in an event itself is brilliant fun and being part of a team will add a new dimension.
What challenges are you going to have to overcome by taking part? Learning the front crawl and also sucking up the pain from my knee injury.
What is your favourite sport? Oh I like lots of sports! Marathon running is a favourite because of my association with the sport. My partner is doing Iron Man Wales this year so through that I've developed a mild fascination with what those athletes have to endure.

What are you most excited about taking part in the triathlon with Simply Swim? Learning to swim properly, think I have running and biking sorted but to be honest the swimming is the part I’m most scared about. Breaststroke fine but front crawl outside surrounded by loads of other competitors, that's scary.
What challenges are you going to have to overcome by taking part? Being able to tear myself away from work for the training, the life of a PR can be all hours, evening events and early starts.
What is your favourite sport? Has to be skiing, mixing fitness with pleasure, fresh mountain air and not feeling guilty about having a fondue every night after a day’s skiing.

Sarah Ivory - Fitness Editor at Health and Fitness
Your name Sarah Ivory
Where you work and your position I’m a freelance health and fitness journalist for various titles. I’m also the freelance fitness editor for Health & Fitness and can be found blogging at www.fittersphere.com.
Have you taken part in any challenges before? If yes, what were they? I’m a little bit competitive and have raced a lot over the last decade. I run competitively for a club, which has led me to do everything from 1500m on the track to full marathons and beyond. I’m also a big fan of multisport and have done a range of triathlons (from super sprint to Olympic distance) as well as adventure races and bike sportives.
How fit are you? While my fitness levels fluctuate depending on the races I have scheduled, I like to think I keep pretty fit all year round. That said, I still can’t do a yoga handstand.
What are you most excited about taking part in the triathlon with Simply Swim? I did the London Triathlon Olympic event last year and it was stupid amounts of fun. I can’t wait to do it again. Better yet, I can’t wait to do it as part of a team.
What challenges are you going to have to overcome by taking part? I adore lane swimming but I’m always a bit nervous about doing an open water swim. I have poor vision and struggle to spot accurately. In fact, I might invest in prescription goggles this year.
What is your favourite sport? Most people will assume my favourite sport is running but, actually, it’s not. As far as triathlon is concerned, my favourite leg is the swim. It’s the most daunting, brutal and disorientating part of a tri, and it’s by far the most satisfying bit to complete.
